Youth Sports


 The City of Evans offers sports programs year-round for children in Kindergarten to 8th grade.
 
K-2nd Grade Sports

The City of Evans K-2nd grade sports program is designed for children to learn the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun and safe environment. With this program, the teams will practice once per week with games on Saturdays. Teams will be formed by where the child goes to school, on a first-come first-served basis. If there are not enough participants from one school, then they will be combined with another school to form the team.


3rd-8th Grade Sports


The City of Evans 3rd-8th grade sports program is designed for children to learn the basic fundamentals of the game, develop the skills needed to play each sport, and teamwork. With this program, teams will practice twice per week with games on Saturdays. The basketball (3rd-6th grade) and volleyball programs (3rd-6th grade) are played through the Northern Valley Athletic Association (NVAA), which includes the towns of Ault, Eaton, Evans, Fort Lupton, Keenesburg, Kersey, LaSalle, Platteville, and Wiggins. Games can be played at any of these sites during the season. 7th-8th grade volleyball program is only offered during the spring season. The soccer (10U & 12U) and flag football (3rd-6th grade) programs are played through Eaton Recreation and games will be played in Eaton during the season. Teams will be formed by where the child goes to school, on a first-come first-served basis. If there are not enough participants from one school, then they will be combined with another school to form the team.
